From 19.01.2023 to 22.01.23 we met in Trier for our first strategy meeting this year. Three more of these will follow this year.
These meetings are especially important for us, as our team is spread all over Germany. We need the time to discuss our strategy, problems, strengths and other internal issues that affect our entire workforce and to find possible solutions. 👩🏻🤝👨🏼🧑🤝🧑👨🏻🤝👨🏽
As we are a still small company with a familiar atmosphere, it is very important to us to involve our employees in our processes and decisions. At our company, everyone has the opportunity to contribute to the shaping of the company and to contribute ideas 💡. Some of our employees could only be present on site on certain days or not at all, so they were connected online.
Due to the long journey of some employees, we started the meeting on Thursday around 3 pm.
❶ After we arrived and settled in, we started to address today’s topics. These were human resources as well as our current project situation.
❷ Friday we dealt with sales and the organization within Es-geht!
❸ Saturday was strongly characterized by our retrospective, during which we devoted ourselves to a prepared SWOT analysis and grouping the input from the workforce. We ultimately prioritized these things in order to be able to plan the next necessary steps.
❹ Due to the previous days and the long departure of some employees, our Sunday meeting only lasted until 1 pm. During this time, we discussed finances and structuring approaches as well as used the time for project-related individual work. After all, we rarely see each other in person and some things are more efficiently discussed face-to-face.
Of course, we also had an unofficial part in addition to the official one. This was especially characterized by a joint dinner, a wine tasting and a historical city tour through Trier 🍲🍷🚶🏻♀️🚶🏼🚶🏽♂️. This type of get-together is also particularly important for us, as it brings us closer as a workforce and strengthens team spirit.
We also received our Christmas present: the honey made Es-geht! that was promised to us during the Christmas party 🍯.
We thus look back on a successful, but also challenging long weekend, which once again showed us how much we stand behind Es-geht!. That we are a mixed bunch of people, where everyone makes their contribution. We are a strong and at the same time something unconventional team – that’s what makes us stand out. 🏅
