We at Es-Geht! are delighted to announce that our project consortium has won the pilot of dena’s ongoing Energy Sharing Community project.
This project is a significant milestone for us and we look forward to embarking on this journey to create a sustainable future for energy consumption in Germany. We have been dealing with the topic of energy communities in Germany for years and in many different projects and hope to be able to lay the groundwork with our partners in this pioneering project to enable the implementation of energy sharing communities in Germany soon.

The Energy Sharing Community project aims to develop and implement an innovative model for energy sharing in Germany. We will work closely with dena’s Future Energy Lab client, B.A.U.M. and our partners SWW Wunsiedel GmbH, exnaton AG and SEtrade GmbH to develop a practical and efficient guide for an energy sharing community based on the pilot project in Wunsiedel, with scientific support from IZT GmbH.
Main objectives of the pilot:
- Development of a comprehensive platform for energy exchange.
- Real-time implementation of energy management and optimization.
- Facilitating energy trading between community members.
- Promote sustainability and efficiency in energy consumption.
- Provide valuable insights in a post-trial knowledge transfer guide.

The Energy Sharing Community will play a crucial role in reducing our carbon footprint and promoting clean energy practices.

In the coming months, we will turn our attention to finalizing the detailed concept and founding the WUNergy cooperative. We will keep you updated on our progress and milestones.
