From 17.01.2023 to 18.01.2023, the participants of the CoMap project met in Wunsiedel for a kick-off meeting. A wonderful opportunity to get to know each other better and to discuss future planning.

🎯 The goal of the CoMap project is to build a real-time simulation system that continuously maps a distribution network section in real time. The core of this system is the CoMap Server. Here, a digital twin (model representation) of the distribution network is implemented from a model library to be developed and continuously calculated in parallel to the real network events.

🗓️ On 16.01.23 we met together with our consortium partners at 1 pm in Wunsiedel to start our kick-off meeting for the project CoMap, which we already started in December (more here). Present besides us were:

  • SWW Wunsiedel GmbH,
  • MicroNova GmbH,
  • Fraunhofer-IEE and
  • The technical responsible representative Mrs. Becker from PTJ.

During the meeting it was not only about starting the project officially and to work out the planning of the work packages as well as the common goal, but also to get to know each other a little bit. After all, we will be working closely together for the next 2 years. In the evening, we had dinner together at the Bräustüberl in Schönbrunn, where we could spend time outside of the work context and get to know each other a little better.

The 17.01.23 greeted us with a surprise overnight, as the day started into a winter wonderland ❄️❄️❄️. This is certainly due to the fact that it is always a few degrees colder in Wunsiedel than in the rest of Bavaria. In addition to the joy of the snow, there was also a program that day. So we were able to do some more planning and visit the energy park in the time until 1 pm. Now we are perfectly prepared for the coming project time.

SWW, with the support of Es-geht!, is responsible, among other things, for the specification and use cases for network operators and the implementation of the user platform or the control center. The project is funded by the 7th Energy Research Program “Innovation for the Energy Transition” of the BMWI for 24 months.

Of course we will keep you informed about meetings and milestones in the project. Stay tuned with us 👏🏼.
