Michael completed his degree in engineering (E.Eng.) in energy, building and environmental technology with a specialization in environmental technology at Münster University of Applied Sciences in Steinfurt in 2011. Since November 2011, he has been working for the Marl municipal administration at the central depot in the urban drainage department and since 2016 in the planning department.

He has been interested in computers and technology since his school days. Starting with the Kosmos Electronic System experiment kit through to the Smarthome Server today. He has been supporting Es Geht! with his extensive knowledge of programming, databases, networks and computers since 2023.
