Dr. Jennifer Meyer works full-time at GS1 Germany GmbH as a consultant, retail expert and business trainer for topics related to shopper marketing and category management. She brings around 10 years of experience in the consumer goods and retail environment. In a senior management position, she was most recently responsible for the corporate development and category management of an owner-managed German DIY chain. Prior to that, she was responsible for strategic category development at European level for one of the company’s four main merchandise groups at Parfümerie Douglas. Dr. Meyer studied economics at the WHU Otto Beisheim School of Management and completed her doctorate in 2011 at the Chair of Innovation and Start-up Management at the TU Dortmund University on the topic of “Customer Relationship Management in Family Businesses”.
