Christoph studied electrical engineering and information technology with a focus on energy technology at TU Dortmund University (B.Sc. & M.Sc.). Since 2017, he is a research associate at the Institute of Energy Systems, Energy Efficiency and Energy Economics. His main research interests are in the area of voltage as well as frequency management with distributed generation systems. This includes dynamic modeling of distributed generation systems as well as their controls to provide system services from the distribution grid level. In particular, he is working on optimal grid reconstruction strategies of distribution grids with a high penetration of renewable energy plants after a large-scale blackout using detailed RMS simulations.Christoph is responsible for the following areas of expertise at Es-Geht!:
